Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everything you submit to or generate with TemplateReel, and to how you use the Service. It is part of our Terms of Service. We may update it as AI capabilities, laws, and risks evolve.
1. Prohibited content
You may not use the Service to create, upload, or share content that:
- Sexualizes minors.Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content that sexualizes or depicts minors in a sexual manner — real or synthetic. We have zero tolerance: accounts are terminated immediately and content is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement.
- Is non-consensual intimate imagery.Nude, sexual, or intimate depictions of a real, identifiable person without their explicit consent, including “undressing” or face-swapped content.
- Is a deceptive deepfake. Realistic depictions of real people saying or doing things they did not say or do, without their consent, or that are intended or likely to deceive viewers.
- Impersonates others. Content that falsely presents itself as coming from, or endorsed by, a person, brand, business, or government body.
- Harasses or promotes hate. Harassment, bullying, threats, doxxing, or content that promotes violence or discrimination against people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- Promotes violence or self-harm. Glorification of terrorism or violent extremism, graphic real-world violence, or encouragement of self-harm or suicide.
- Spreads election or civic misinformation. Content that misleads people about voting procedures or eligibility, or fabricated depictions of candidates, officials, or election events.
- Infringes intellectual property.Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity, or other rights — including uploading logos, characters, music, or product images you do not have rights to use.
- Is otherwise illegal. Content that facilitates illegal activity, fraud, scams, or the sale of illegal goods, or that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Is deceptive advertising. Ads making false health, financial, or product claims, or fake testimonials presented as real customer reviews.
2. Prohibited conduct
- Distributing malware, phishing, or spam, or using the Service to attack any system.
- Circumventing credit charges, usage limits, rate limits, content filters, or safety systems, or exploiting bugs for free credits.
- Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits.
- Scraping, crawling, or bulk-downloading the template library or other users’ content.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or providing access to the Service or its underlying APIs to third parties as a competing service, or sharing account credentials.
- Reverse engineering the Service or using it to build a competing product or to train AI models.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service, its infrastructure, or other users.
- Using the Service in violation of the usage policies of our AI providers.
3. Transparency
When you publish AI-generated content, label it as AI-generated wherever required by law or by the rules of the platform you publish on, and never present synthetic depictions of real people or events as authentic.
4. Enforcement
We use automated systems, provider safety filters, and human review to detect violations. If we believe you have violated this policy we may, at our discretion and without prior notice:
- block the generation or remove the content;
- issue a warning;
- suspend or permanently terminate your account without refund of remaining credits;
- report content and account information to law enforcement or relevant authorities.
5. Reporting abuse
To report content that violates this policy, or to submit an intellectual-property complaint, email support@templatereel.com with a description and any relevant links. If you believe we made a mistake in enforcing this policy against you, you may appeal by contacting the same address.
