Terms of Service
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“TemplateReel”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and govern your access to and use of https://templatereel.comand all related tools, including the template explorer, Canvas, Ad Studio, and generation features (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
TemplateReel is a browser-based tool that lets you generate videos, images, music, voiceovers, and text using artificial-intelligence models. Generation features are paid for with prepaid credits. We may add, change, or remove features or AI models at any time.
2. Accounts & eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher, to create an account or purchase credits.
- You may sign up with email and password or through a third-party sign-in provider (such as Google or GitHub). You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@templatereel.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.
3. Credits & payments
- Prepaid credits. Generation features consume credits. Credits are purchased in prepaid packs through our payment processor, Stripe. One credit has a nominal reference value of US$0.01; the credit cost of each operation is shown in the product and on our Pricing page before you generate.
- No cash value. Credits are a limited license to use the Service. They have no cash value, are not legal tender or a stored-value instrument, are non-transferable, and may not be sold, exchanged, or redeemed for cash except as stated in our Refund Policy or required by law.
- Expiration. Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains active. Promotional or bonus credits, including the 50 free credits granted on sign-up, may expire (sign-up credits expire 30 days after they are granted) and may carry other conditions stated when they are offered.
- Price changes. We may change credit pack prices and the credit cost of operations at any time. Changes apply to future purchases and future generations; they do not reduce the number of credits already in your balance.
- Failed generations. If a generation fails because of an error on our side or our AI provider’s side, the credits charged for it are automatically returned to your balance.
- Taxes. Prices are in US dollars and may exclude applicable taxes, which you are responsible for where required.
- Refunds & chargebacks. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. If you file a chargeback for a valid purchase we may suspend your account while it is investigated.
4. Acceptable use
You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms. Among other things, you may not use the Service to create illegal content, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, deceptive deepfakes of real people, or content that infringes others’ rights, and you may not abuse, scrape, resell, or circumvent the limits of the Service.
5. Your content & licenses
- Inputs and outputs.“Inputs” are the prompts, text, images, audio, video, and other material you submit. “Outputs” are the videos, images, audio, and text the Service generates for you. As between you and us, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you retain ownership of your Inputs and we assign to you any rights we have in your Outputs. Some jurisdictions may not grant copyright protection to AI-generated material.
- License to us. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, and display your Inputs and Outputs solely to operate, secure, and provide the Service to you (including sending Inputs to our AI providers to produce Outputs) and to comply with law. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must retain for legal reasons or that remain in routine backups for a limited time.
- Your responsibility. You represent that you own or have all necessary rights, licenses, and consents for your Inputs — including any images, likenesses, voices, logos, brands, trademarks, music, or copyrighted works — and that your Inputs and your use of Outputs do not violate any law or anyone’s rights. If an Input depicts an identifiable person, you must have that person’s permission.
- Public templates. Templates and example content we provide may be used within the Service to create your own Outputs. You may not copy or redistribute the template library itself.
6. AI output disclaimer
- Outputs are generated by machine-learning models and may be inaccurate, unexpected, low quality, offensive, or otherwise unsuitable. They may also be similar or identical to outputs generated for other users; we do not guarantee that any Output is unique or that it is free of third-party rights.
- You are solely responsible for reviewing Outputs and for confirming that they are appropriate and lawful before you publish them or use them commercially, including in advertising.
- Where required by law or by the rules of the platform where you publish (for example, advertising or social-media policies), you must clearly disclose that content is AI-generated or synthetically altered.
- Outputs are not professional (legal, medical, financial, or other) advice.
7. Third-party providers
The Service relies on third-party providers, including AI model providers (such as Google, ByteDance via BytePlus, Anthropic, and Suno via Kie.ai), hosting and storage providers, sign-in providers, and Stripe for payments. Their availability, output, and policies are outside our control, and we may switch providers at any time. Your use of third-party sign-in or payment services is also subject to those providers’ terms. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared with them.
8. Intellectual property in the Service
The Service, including its software, design, template library, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
9. Suspension & termination
- You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.
- We may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, or forfeit credits, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or if your use creates risk or harm for us, other users, or third parties. Credits forfeited because of a violation are not refunded.
- If we discontinue the Service entirely for reasons other than your breach, we will provide reasonable notice and refund the value of unused purchased credits.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5–6 and 10–14) will survive.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Inputs, your use of Outputs, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or in the Service before they take effect. The “Last updated” date above shows when they were last revised. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.
15. General
These Terms, together with the policies linked above, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
